A spacious room with adjustable acoustics, equipped with a high-quality grand piano and a variety of amplifiers, drums, and other instruments. It can accommodate soloists, bands, or entire orchestras.

The Room

The live room is a space of approximately 90 square meters with a high sloping ceiling, designed to offer great acoustic flexibility and ample space for any type of recording session. The room's acoustics are lively, with a natural degree of reverb, making it ideal for recording acoustic instruments such as piano, strings, wind instruments, guitars, and percussion. However, with a system of 18 movable acoustic panels, the reverb can be adjusted, creating acoustically controlled areas and significantly reducing sound bleed between instruments in the microphones. Six of these panels feature glass inserts, allowing instruments to be isolated while maintaining visibility between musicians, which is perfect for live takes like jazz ensembles or groups playing together. This setup ensures a perfect balance between acoustic isolation and visual interaction, adapting to any sound requirement.

The Piano

The room is equipped with a 192 cm Grotrian-Steinweg grand piano, renowned for its precise craftsmanship and exceptional sound quality. The brand was founded in 1835 by Heinrich Steinweg and Friedrich Grotrian. In 1850, Heinrich emigrated to the United States and founded Steinway & Sons. In 1865, his son C.F. Theodor Steinweg sold his share to Wilhelm Grotrian, separating the brands: Grotrian-Steinweg in Europe and Steinway & Sons in the U.S. While Steinway & Sons gained fame with its historic models, remaining tied to those designs, Grotrian-Steinweg continued to innovate, investing in new technologies and improvements. This led experts like technician Larry Fine to consider modern Grotrian-Steinweg pianos among the finest, on par with Steinway, Fazioli, and Bösendorfer pianos built in Hamburg, and superior to Steinways made in New York. Thanks to its technical and sonic excellence, this piano is perfectly suited for both classical and contemporary repertoires, meeting the most refined and technical demands.

Other instruments

In addition to the grand piano, the live room is equipped with a selection of musical instruments available for recording sessions. Among the guitars, you'll find iconic models that, combined with our amplifiers, offer a wide range of tones, from warm, vintage sounds to more modern and cutting-edge ones. Two Ludwig drum kits are also available. The first is a valuable historic piece: a Classic Maple with John Bonham's specifications, used by Michael Lee during the Robert Plant and Jimmy Page tour in the '90s. The second kit is a more modern and versatile drum set, composed of elements that allow for numerous configurations, easily adapting to any drummer’s needs. This selection of instruments gives musicians the opportunity to complement their own gear and experiment with different timbres, adding new sonic textures to their projects. Access to these options in the live room can open up new creative possibilities, offering added value in terms of expressiveness and tonal variety.
